But after team-mate Talisca had doubled the advantage, Ronaldo showcased his class as he left an opponent in the dust with a blistering turn of pace before smashing home with his nominally weaker left foot.
The 38-year-old veteran then pulled out his new ‘nap’ celebration, after performing his trademark ‘siiiuuu’ after netting the spot-kick.
And fans quickly took to social media to purr over his effort.
