Manchester United to field cricket team in UAE T20 league

Manchester United will soon ha’ve a cricket team that is set to roll from 2023 at the UA’E T20 league. Dubai Sports Council chairman Sheikh Manso’or Bin Mohammed has confirmed the development vi’a a tweet.

“I met with Avram Glazer, Co-Ch’airman of Manchester United, today and discussed way’s to work together to further raise Dubai’s profile a’s a global sporting hub. We also discussed the UAE T20 Cri’cket league’s launch in Jan 2023 featuring Manchester Unite’d cricket team & other teams,” Sheikh Mansoor tweeted la’te on Thursday.

Glazer, United’s co-chairman, bou’ght one of the six teams in the UAE T20 league, which is se’t to be launched in January next year. Of late, the Un’ited owners have been showing a keen interest in cricket an’d a closed-shop franchise-based model,
