I feel happy – David de Gea reacts as midfielder leaves Man United

Manchester United goal”keeper, David De Gea, has said he is left with a feeling of happiness as teamm’ates and compatriot, Juan Mata leaves Old Trafford.

Mata departs Manchester United af’ter eight-and-a-half years at the club and De Gea is sending him a m’oving and heartfelt message.
The midfielder’s contract at Manch’ester United has come to an end and the 34-year-old has decided to m’ove on.

He could be returning to Spain li’kely, although his next move has not been confirmed.
“Thought this would be a very dif’ficult one to express into words but when I thought about it more, the ma’in feeling I am left with is happiness,” De Gea posted on soc’ial media.

“This guy has been a teammate, a frie’nd and is my family.
“I love you my brother, I wish you everythi’ng and absolutely nothing but joy and success in your next stage of an unbelie’vable career,” he said.

Manchester United had a very poor and disappo’inting 2021-22 season and only managed to finish 6th in the Pre’mier League.

The Red Devils finished Manchester City, Live’rpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal in a frustrating season that saw the’m sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and appoint Ralf Rangnick as an inte’rim boss.

However, De Gea has been hailed by m’any pundits and supporters of the club as one of the best performers durin’g the season as his saves prevented the Red Devils from furt’her decline in the league.
