Deal Done – Manchester United completes second signing for Ten Hag as Youth Cup winner signs professional deal
Manchester United has signed ano’ther member of their Youth Cup-winning squad to a profes’sional contract.
Maxi Oyedele, a Manch’ester Un’ited youth, has signed his first professional cont’ract with the club.
After a fantastic sea’son, the 17-year-old midfielder has been rewarded with a new con’tract. Oyedele was a major player of the cl’ub’s FA Youth Cup-wi’nning squad, appearing in every mat’ch of the competi’tion and lifting the trophy earlier this mon’th.
The young midfielder played 26 minut’es in the final against Nottingham For’est, contribu’ting significantly as United scored twice la’te on to win the famous youth championsh’ip.
Oyedele had a succes’sful individual season, appearing 22 times for the academy and also mak:ing his international debut, being call’ed up to play for Poland U18s. In addition, the child is eligible to pl’ay for both Nigeria and England at the intern’ational level.
Following Tyler Fredricson and Kob’bie Mainoo, Oyedele is the third member of the You’th Cup-win’ning team to sign a professional contract since the fi’nal.
