According to the Daily Mail, Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a plane full of humanitarian aid to the areas most affected by the earthquake.
In particular, it has sent tents, food parcels, pillows and blankets, bedding, baby food, milk and medical supplies to aid humanitarian efforts.
This is not the first time that the Portuguese star has expressed solidarity with Turkey and the Syrian cause. Two days after the tragedy, Atalanta’s Turkish defender, Merih Demirel, contacted Cristiano to auction off his signed shirt, which the Turk had in his collection.
“I just spoke to Cristiano. He said he is very sad about what happened in Turkey. We are auctioning the signed Ronaldo shirt in my collection,” Demirel said on Twitter.
who have already managed to auction shirts signed by other famous footballers such as Paulo Dybala, Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba.
As Demeril explained on Twitter, he also succeeded in auctioning a glove signed by Gianluigi Buffon and shirts signed by both Paris Saint-Germain players Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.
Other footballers who have shown solidarity with the cause and donned signed shirts are Leonardo Bonucci, Danilo, Federico Chiesa, and Dušan Vlahović.
